A musical tidal wave will engulf one of the most beautiful villages in France: the Summer Academy of the Festival of Saint-Lizier en Couserans.  This musical engagement, from the 25th July to the 19th August, will take you to the very heart of classical music.  Dame Felicity Lott, Gaëlle Thouvenin, Anssi Karttunen, David Lively and Raphaël Oleg will share the first week with young artists dedicated to a future of concert performance.  Each day, a master-class will be held, in which one of these inspired masters will share their musical knowledge, and their sage advice with the young performers.  Each evening, students and teachers will unite in unique and varied concerts.  This concept, created for the 2009 Festival, offers the visitor a rare chance to rub shoulders with some of the world's finest interpreters, and to experience rare and privileged moments in their company.  Music lovers are also invited to seize the moment, to follow the full process of creation of a performance, from the first reading to the finished interpretation in a concert setting.
